Exam for GCET 2024 will be held in second week of May 2024. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa, administers the state-level admission test known as the GCET. It stands for the Goa Common Entrance Test, which is used to determine admission to degree programmes in engineering, pharmacy, architecture, dentistry, and other fields. Eligibility Criteria for GCET Notification 2024
Eligibility
- Nationality: To be eligible for admission, applicants must be Indian citizens.
- Age Requirement: To be eligible for the GCET 2024, applicants must be at least 17 years old as of or before December 31, 2024.
- Candidates must have passed the 10+2 intermediate exam or its equivalent from a board that is recognised.
- Subject: In the qualifying test, applicants are required to take Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Marks: To be eligible, applicants must have at least 45% (or 40% for members of the restricted categories).
- Score Card: In order to be eligible for admission to architecture schools, applicants must have received passing marks on the NATA 2024 test.
Exam Pattern
- Exam Mode: The GCET 2024 test will be administered in offline mode (OMR).
- The candidates will have a total of 2 hours to complete the GCET 2024 Question paper.
- Number of Questions: There will be a total of 75 questions on each paper.
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be the only question type on the test.
- The marking scheme is 1 mark for each response that is accurate.
- Negative Marking: The test will not be subject to any negative marking.
