How Do I Sign Up for the eWay Bill Portal? Registered suppliers, registered/unregistered carriers, and unregistered suppliers are the three types of taxpayers/users participating in eWay Bills.
E-Way Bill Login
To produce e-Way Bills, you must first register on the e-Way Bill platform. The GSTIN of the registered taxpayer/transporter (if registered) and the registered Mobile number with the GST system are required for registration on the e-Way Bill portal.
E-Way Bill Login, How to Register on eWay Bill Portal
- An E-Way Bill (EWB) is an electronic way bill. If a GST-registered individual wishes to convey items worth more than Rs. 50,000 in a single invoice, bill, or delivery challan, he must create one. The purpose of establishing EWBs is to give a single permission for goods movement across the country.
- The E-Way Bill login portal is a government-run website where taxpayers and transport businesses may generate and cancel E-Way invoices.
What is the Eway bill login page?
- https://ewaybillgst.gov.in/ is the official government portal or site for producing, managing, and cancelling EWBs. This is a single web interface that all taxpayers and transporters in India will use to establish EWBs.
- Previously, the gateway was accessible via ewaybill.nic.in. The GST Council has ordered that it be diverted to a new platform known as ewaybillgst.gov.in. NIC manages this site, which was previously known as ewaybill.nic.in.
- An Electronic Waybill, often known as an e-Way bill, is necessary for commercial transportation of items worth more than $50,000 over state lines. The internet portal where you may produce the required papers is ewaybillgst.gov.in. You may also SMS one to yourself or use the official app, which is accessible on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Following the issuance of the e-Way bill, the supplier, receiver, and transporter each obtain a unique e-Way bill number, therefore authorising the transfer of goods from point A to point B.
When Is an e-Way Bill Required?
Before items may be moved over state boundaries, the e-Way bill must be properly established. A list of acts for which an e-Way bill must be created is provided below. Continue reading to find out more.
You must create an e-Way bill if you are performing any of the following.
- Provision of goods in exchange for payment
- Provision of goods without remuneration
- An unregistered individual supplied an inward supply.
The phrase “supply” refers to the movement of commodities for purposes other than sales, such as inter-branch transfers, purchases from unregistered persons, and/or item barter exchanges. Even if the product value does not exceed $50,000, an e-Way bill must be created in certain cases. Here is a list of some of these instances:
- The principal or a registered job worker sends things to a job worker over state borders.
- The interstate transfer of handcrafted items by a dealer is exempt from GST registration.
Who can produce an e-Way Bill?
The following people can produce an e-Way bill:
- An e-Way bill is necessary when products worth more than $50,000 are transferred to or from a person registered on the e-Way bill site. A registered individual or transporter may opt to produce and carry e-Way invoices even if the value of the products is less than $50,000.
- Individuals who have not enrolled on the e-Way bill site must also produce e-Way bills. Furthermore, as if they were the provider, they will be responsible for ensuring that all compliance requirements are met.
- Transporters: If the provider has not generated e-Way invoices, transporters who will convey items by road, air, rail, or other methods must do so.
- If an unregistered individual supplies products to a registered person, the recipient must guarantee that an e-Way bill is created. If the supplier has not created the e-Way bill, it is the transporter’s obligation to do so. If unregistered transporters register on the e-Way bill login page, they will receive a Transporter ID.
Advantages of eway login
1. Less paperwork:
Because the RFID device is attached to the vehicle and the e-way bill may be validated via the device, the person in charge of the vehicle for goods movement will no longer need to deliver physical copies.
2. Cost-cutting measures:
This law minimises logistic expenses by enforcing proper invoicing and, as a result, tax avoidance.
3. Transportation that is both economical and efficient:
The Eway bill system will increase the efficiency and speed of transportation. This will gradually contribute in the reorganisation of the sector. There will be no checkpoint lineups, and commodities will move swiftly, resulting in the most effective use of resources.
4. User-friendliness:
The Eway bill system and interface are extremely user-friendly and straightforward. The merchants themselves can download the e-way bill.
5. It is simple and quick to generate an Eway bill:
Creating an e-way bill will be a straightforward operation in the near future. It will be relatively straightforward because the government is working on a minimal budget.
